The Benefits of CBD Capsules:
Quick absorption isn’t the only benefit you can look to your CBD pills for. Each of the CBD capsules has a 25mg dose of the benefits you love from CBD.
One of the most commonly mentioned uses of CBD is to help with symptoms of anxiety. People report the cannabinoid providing a calming relief from the heart race of stress and anxiety. The cannabinoid has been studied for other mental health benefits as well. Studies show it can help with depression, PTSD, PD, and several other disorders. Overall, the compound shows great promise for its ability to help improve your mental health.
The other two most common uses people mention for taking CBD is to help manage pain and inflammation. The two are closely related as pain often leads to swelling, and inflammation can lead to discomfort. Fortunately, CBD can help you with both. People have even reported the cannabinoid helping with headaches, chronic pain, pelvic and urologic pain. The physical benefits of CBD continue to mount with each additional study done on the compound.
Every year there are over 1,000 articles published on CBD! With every study, we learn a little more about how the compound can improve lives. Check out the research behind the incredible benefits of the cannabinoid.
CBD for Mental Health –
Anxiety was the most commonly reported use of CBD reported in a social media surveillance study. An unsurprising conclusion once you see the amount of evidence produced on the subject.
In a case study on cannabidiol and anxiety, the compound helped relieve symptoms in the participants. While the cannabinoid provided similar symptom relief as traditional treatment options, it lacked the adverse side effects associated with psychiatric medications. Overall the study saw promise for CBD to be used in a clinical setting for anxiety treatment.
A pre-clinical study into the cannabinoid demonstrated a reduction in anxiety-related behaviors from participants taking CBD. The findings pointed to CBD helping with mental health disorders like PTSD, PD, GAD, and SAD. Similar to the other study, the researchers saw no signs of adverse reactions from taking cannabidiol.
An animal study on CBD looked at the effects of the compound on depression and anxiety. Symptoms related to both were reduced through the administration of cannabidiol. Overall, research continues to produce evidence that CBD can, at minimum, help reduce symptoms of common mental health disorders from anxiety to depression to PTSD.
Pain Management with CBD –
When researchers looked to CBD users to find out why they take the cannabinoid, almost every participant in the study cited a medicinal need. One of the most commonly reported uses was to help with pain management.
Managing pain can go from debilitating to emotionally crippling when things don’t get better. Today, the most common medical option is to take highly addictive pain medications. Due to the complications these treatment options present, physicians have cautiously looked for better solutions. CBD showed promise to be that option in a review on the compound for pain management. The studies in the analysis focused on chronic types of pain, such as neuropathic and central pain states. Overall, the review concluded the evidence was consistent among CBD studies for the compound to help treat difficult to manage pain.
In a review of the effects of CBD on headaches, researchers saw consistent results. The compound was repeatedly able to help relieve symptoms of headaches. If you’ve ever had a blinding migraine, you know just how incredible it is to find something that eliminates the pain. Similar to chronic pain management, the most common treatment options are full of unwanted side effects. Luckily, CBD was able to provide relief without any negative side effects.
A less commonly discussed pain that can still be a life-altering misery is urologic and pelvic pain. The UCPPS clinic published a paper on their work with CBD for pelvic and urologic pain. Their patients repeatedly demonstrated anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, analgesic, and antispasmodic responses from taking CBD. The paper concluded that the cannabinoid shows promise for fighting bacteria, relieving swelling, and reducing pain and muscle spasms.
CBD for Inflammation –
Inflammation is another commonly reported reason people use CBD for. Is there a reason for that?
It turns out CBD may be more potent than traditional anti-inflammatories, like NSAIDs. In a study on CBD and THC, the cannabinoids were 20 times more effective at reducing inflammation than aspirin, a common NSAID. This is big news when we consider the damage long-term aspirin use can do to our organs. If patients can use CBD in replacement of aspiring for not just the same, but better results, they may finally have a safer long-term treatment option!
Inflammation comes in many forms affecting several types of ailments from pain management to autoimmune disorders. In a review focused on inflammation related to autoimmune diseases, researchers looked to CBD as a treatment option. Overall, all of the studies they looked at showed that CBD helps to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. They also noted that CBD performed better than other cannabinoids, like THC, at reducing inflammation.
The Herbal Benefits –
We selected each of the herbs in our CBD pills for the benefits they provide.
Research shows that ginger accumulates in the digestive tract, where it provides relief to a number of issues. The most common use is for nausea. Evidence suggests that ginger may work as well, if not better than B6, a common prescription for nausea. There’s also evidence of anti-inflammatory properties in ginger, though additional research is needed to determine appropriate medicinal applications.
Turmeric, or curcumin, is another popular herb for managing inflammation. In a study on the spice, curcumin helped manage inflammation and oxidative conditions. Some of the ailments the research concluded turmeric to be potentially beneficial for were metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, muscle soreness, and workout recovery.
Black pepper contains piperine, a bioehancher, according to a study on increasing bioavailability of medications. The study confirmed what ayurvedic medicine has known for ages.
