Frequently Asked Questions about CBD
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol—CBD— is a molecular constituent of the hemp plant that has significant scientifically proven medical benefits. CBD will not make you feel “stoned” or “high”. In fact, it has the ability to counteract the psycho-activity of THC!
Will CBD help my condition?
Due to the current federal regulations of the United States, we cannot make claims about what results our products will produce. However, we post customer reviews daily on our social media pages that you may refer to if you like.
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
In short, you have a 0.1% chance with Full Spectrum products when taking the recommended serving, as it contains up to 0.3% THC. With our Sustainable Isolate products there is a 0.00% chance, as we have isolated the CBD so that it contains no THC whatsoever. Both formulas are completely non-psychoactive when taking the recommended serving.
With 3-5 servings daily of 0.5mg THC (contained in most commercial CBD-rich hemp oil products), the positive urine screen rate is less than 0.1%. Most servings of typical high-quality, high-purity CBD-based hemp oil products contain well below 0.1mg of THC and therefore have upwards of 400-600 times less THC than marijuana products.
What does all this mean?
Put simply, a consumer who uses a high-quality, scientifically vetted hemp-based product at the standard serving size, is highly unlikely to test positive for THC and/or THC-COOH. However, it is important to be cognizant that extremely high doses may result in a positive urine screen (which would be subsequently shown to be false via GC/MS testing, if available). Ultimately, consumers need to be fully informed of the specific regulations posed by their employers or other authorized parties and adjust their consumption of cannabinoid products accordingly.

Yes, we ship our pure, organic CBD oil to all 50 states! ThoughtCloud products contain between 0.00% and 0.3% THC. We are allowed by U.S. Federal law to swiftly ship our CBD products to your doorstep via USPS!

Does ThoughtCloud ship internationally?
Yes! There is a flat fee of $14.95 for all international shipping. Please allow 12-30+ days for all international orders, as the time varies at the discretion of your local customs office. If you have waited more than 30 days and your tracking number says that it has arrived in your country, reach out to your local post office. You may have to be somewhat insistent with them, but they should be able to help you find out what the hold up is. If they are of no help, please reach out to [email protected] so that we can assist you.
We advise you to consult your local laws before attempting to ship CBD and vape pens into your country, as statutes frequently change. That being said, here is a list of countries that we have been able to ship to without incident:
- Czech Republic
- Netherlands Antilles
- New Zealand
- Northern Ireland
- Puerto Rico
- U.S. Virgin Islands
- United Kingdom
****Canada’s new laws prohibit CBD from crossing the border. We are researching how to open our own dispensary in Canada as soon as possible. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know!
How long will it take to receive my products?
At ThoughtCloud we offer the highest degree of customer service and provide free domestic First Class shipping, which usually takes 1-4 business days once your package has left our lab. Please allow an additional 1-4 business days for handling, as we make all oils in small batches. During large 40-70% blowout sales, please allow up to 2-4 weeks of shipping and handling time, although we strive to get your products to you as speedily as possible!
Why won’t my payment process?
In many cases, you will need to ask your bank to lift the “International Lock” and allow charges to ThoughtCloud. Most likely it’s just your bank trying to prevent fraud due to our payment processing system being based in the UK.
If you are getting an error message saying that your card is fraudulent, please reach out to [email protected] with your phone number and the best times to receive a text or email so that we may help you get it sorted out. Otherwise, simply try using a different card.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience.
Can I give ThoughtCloud CBD to my pets?
Yes! All mammals have an endocannabinoid system and can benefit from added levels of CBD. Please use the pet formulation for best results as animals are sensitive to CBD and it is formulated with a lower potency. The average appropriate dosage is to administer half a dropper for pets under 50 pounds; one full dropper for pets over 50 pounds. You may either put the dropper right in their mouth (most pets love the taste) or place on a treat that can be consumed in one sitting.
When will the oils expire?
ThoughtCloud oils have a shelf life of 6-9 months, unrefrigerated. The shelf life is extended up to three additional months if refrigerated. This applies whether the product is opened or sealed, although regular users will go through a bottle long before they need to worry about that.
How do I use ThoughtCloud CBD?
CBD can be taken orally, topically or vaped. You may soak it into your skin, drop it under your tongue before swallowing, or use a vape pen for more immediate absorption. Make sure to drink lots of water to aid in metabolism if taken orally. Recommended servings are listed on all vials, but start low and work up until you find best results.
What is the difference between coconut oil and cold pressed hemp?
The only difference between the coconut full spectrum blend and the hemp full spectrum blend is the carrier oils that sustain the cannabinoids. We recommend using the coconut oil for a milder flavor, but offer the hemp for consumers who have an allergy to coconut, which has a more earthy, herbal taste.
Is it safe to take all Thoughtcloud oils orally, even the vape flavors?
Yes! You may absolutely take any of our organic oils orally! We recommend letting 5-15 drops sit under your tongue for about half a minute before swallowing normally. Make sure to drink lots of water to aid metabolism. This may be done up to three times per day. Less is more, so work up from five drops twice daily until finding best results.
If you do choose to vape, you may use any of the oils sustained in coconut oil. We recommend 12-25 puffs daily, which will have a more instant effect especially for those who suffer from anxiety. There are no harmful chemicals like those contained in many vape oils. Is it safe to use ThoughtCloud CBD while pregnant and/or breastfeeding?
While we always recommend consulting your licensed medical doctor, they may not know much about CBD yet, so you may want to go into the appointment with the following information:
Our oils have up to 0.3% THC unless you use the Isolate formula which has 0.0%. Neither will produce psychoactive results at the suggested dosage. We have known many women who have taken CBD while pregnant or breastfeeding and they have reported no adverse affects. Again, we recommend consulting with your doctor before use and for any concerns, but here is a study you may find interesting: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
Is ThoughtCloud CBD lab-tested?
Yes! Our CBD is lab-tested immediately after it is extracted, and again by a third-party laboratory in Portland, Oregon to ensure a healthy and stable product is formulated for our clientele. Lab results can be emailed to you upon request by reaching out to [email protected]
Is ThoughtCloud CBD a whole plant extract, a synthetic, or an isolate?
Our full spectrum CBD is CO2 extracted, made of whole plant cannabinoid extract including terpenes and beneficial oils. This is how we are able to keep the highest percentage CBD in the industry today.
A study done by the Haddasah Medical School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem compared the effectiveness of completely purified CBD versus a full spectrum extract of cannabis flowers containing large quantities of CBD.
What other cannabinoids are in ThoughtCloud’s full spectrum CBD oil?
The full spectrum formula, in addition to CBD, contains CBC, CBG, CBN, and CBDV. These cannabinoids are not psychoactive and very beneficial in replenishing the body’s natural endocannabinoid system. The evidence is conclusive that these cannabinoids operate in conjunction with CBD to provide the “entourage effect” throughout the body.
What other ingredients are in ThoughtCloud CBD?
ThoughtCloud CBD oil has only organic, non-GMO, vegan ingredients. Our extracts contain 100% organic hemp oil and our proprietary full spectrum CBD concentrate. There are no other additives, preservatives, or emulsifiers! Natural flavorings are added to some products, and will be clearly labeled as such.
Where does ThoughtCloud source hemp from?
Currently, our CBD oil is made from plants that are grown organically in a controlled, outside farm environment in Colorado. All the plants are free from harmful chemicals and pesticides. We are always seeking to source the most premium ingredients for our consumers (and our own families, too!), so sources may vary.
How do you extract the CBD and other cannabinoids from the raw plant material?
We use the most environmentally friendly CO2 extraction methods which clear all toxins, heavy metals, and excess chemicals that degrade CBD oil. CO2 is safe and leaves behind no chemical trace whatsoever. This allows our CBD oil to remain healthy and free of phytochemicals and other unwanted plant material.
What types of CO2 extraction does ThoughtCloud use?
We use supercritical extraction through a process called fractional distillation. Our highly educated research and lab teams are trained specifically in these formulation and chemistry techniques. These specific results are achieved by using corresponding temperatures and pressures at the heat degrees of vaporization which extract the oils at the exact activation energy needed to produce the purest product available anywhere.
